We are delighted to announce our first year as headline sponsor of the world’s greatest food photography awards.
The competition, formerly Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year, will now be known as the World Food Photography Awards sponsored by Tenderstem® Bimi® Broccolini, marking an exciting new chapter for the prestigious awards.
Celebrating the different ways in which food touches our lives - from growing, harvesting and cooking to eating, celebrating, and surviving - the awards align perfectly with our values of quality, integrity and sustainability.
Since their inception in 2011, the competition has received over 100,000 amazing entries from over 100 countries across the globe. With 25 different categories, amateur and professional photographers alike are invited to tell the world’s most important food stories and showcase technical prowess and creativity.
This year marks the addition of two exciting new categories, including the ‘World of Drinks’ category, which celebrates photographs of drinks and ‘The Bimi® Prize’, which will be awarded to one stunning image, which will be chosen from the shortlist for the best image showing fresh fruit and/or vegetables.
This year’s global judging panel, chaired by legendary food photographer, David Loftus, includes: Mogau, The Lazy Makoti, Claire Reichenbach, CEO, The James Beard Foundation, Tom Athron, CEO, Fortnum & Mason and Rein Skullerud, Senior Photographer & Photo Editor, World Food Programme.
